Juniper

By now I’d say
Well this happens everyday
I can’t seem to remember
What happened yesterday
And when tomorrow comes there is no doubt
I’ll be sure to here the old man shout
And despite all that we’ve talked about
Common sense we’ve been without

I wonder where the time’s gone
Since the morning was begun
Cause all I need is ten whole minutes
To sit myself down in the sun
And where are all those things that made me smile
Just to see her eyes
To eat good food and to sleep awhile

Juniper and I
We fell straight up through the sky
We fell down through a hole in the ground
And kept going out the other side
All my friends and I
Ask Juniper, «Why not try?»
But she don’t need chemicals to make her see
Just a good hard fight against gravity

Juniper
Yes that’s the name of the fish I gave
On a Valentine’s Day
And since then we’ve gone our own sweet way
What is on my mind
Is this fish who won’t leave it all behind
I give credit where there’s credit due
But I give none to the eager one in you

What else could fill my head
All the pages I have not yet read
Maybe just for fun I’ll go to bed
And think ‘bout the stuff that didn’t get done
At a page I am staring
The red numbers on my clock are glaring
I know to trip is just to fall
I’m at the point where I can’t think at all

Falling
I fell up through the sky
I fell down through a hole in the ground
And kept going out the other side
Falling
The brother man said, «Why not try?»
But I don’t need chemicals to make me see
Just a good hard fight against gravity
