Something Wicked




i tried to fight the boredom
i fought the best i could
i hated everything around me
and it never brought me any good

so i crawled into a hole
i got tossed around
it turned my highs to lows

i got a funny feeling
and then i tried to turn away
but the sun shone bright
it burned my eye
and left me with nothing to say

she always tried to show me
tried to take me by the hand
but i never wanted to look inside
never tried to understand
but now i see it
something wicked coming my way

my life spun around me
as i looked about the place
it wore me out
it bled me dry
as lines drew down my face
